PRECIOUS WATER
 AMURT-Haiti actively works to improve the living conditions in one of the most isolated socially and economically areas of Haiti, the NW Commune of Anse Rouge. These youngsters in the village of Coridon used to walk for several hours in order to find drinking and bathing water. They now enjoy the flow of clean water which arrives in their fishing village, one of 8 other communities and more than 15,000 people benefiting from a 12 km long water distribution system built by AMURT.

Since 2004 AMURT has successfully realized nine integrated community development projects, receiving and managing a total of 2.1 Million USD. The NGO has consistently received high ratings from the major International Development Agencies in Haiti. AMURT is one of a few organizations out of hundreds of applicants to consistently qualify for financing by funders such as USAID and ACDI. The diversity of the projects it has realized in the last 3 years alone, and their positive impact on the lives of thousands of people attest to their effectiveness and connection to the local communities.
